Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a British/Lebanese lawyer, human rights activist, and charitable philanthropist. After graduating from Oxford University School of Law she embarked on an extensive and successful profession in the field of human rights and international law. Her prominent clients included nations like Armenia that was battling for recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney married American actor George Clooney and became a well-known name in pop world of 2014. In the years prior to this she was respected and well-known within the legal community because of her success in defending clients. The scope of her work ranges from tackling human rights and justice issues to representing several multinational companies in negotiations and court actions in relation to government regulation. From 2015 onwards she served as a barrister in British court at Doughty Street Chambers.
