Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child from Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered the world of show business early, and ended up performing lead roles in various television dramas by the time she was sixteen. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film), was critically and highly rated commercially. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning beautiful diva. Alexandra's career has seen her participate in several notable international and national projects. They comprise British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she is an official jury member for each of and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
